Mobile Stationary Printers Installed into Ontarios Busiest Airport

Pearson International Airport, situated conveniently between both Toronto and Mississauga, is about to get more high tech for passengers who need instant information and for those who need to Print out emergency documents prior to departure. Following the lead of other large international airports worldwide, eight units of stationary printers will be debuting shortly to enable travellers to Print documents and photos directly from their smart phones. Eight mobile Print kiosks powered by HP’s most advanced printing solutions will be installed in terminals at the international airport in the coming months.

The ePrintit stationary printer kiosks will be designed to function directly from smartphones and tablets on the market. For the convenience of travellers unfamiliar with the city of Toronto and Mississauga, the directory will also provide records of restaurants, hotels and maps, to help passengers find information as well as maps in the surrounding cities. In an increasingly digital age, stationary printers in airports have been welcome additions to passengers who forgot to Print out online reservations or who need immediate information.

In order to access information from the stationary printers, passengers will have to download the HP eprint services app on their phone or tablet. The high tech kiosks powered by HP will be installed complete with monitoring software, a high quality colour printers and online video camera. Fees to use the printing services are still to be determined by Pearson International Airport. The use of the printers is expected to draw significant revenue for the airport.
