Being a First Responder can come with a heavy mental health toll, and an Ontario event will arm its delegates with tools that may be helpful in addressing this issue.
Wounded Warriors Canada has teamed up with Trillium Health’s Partners Insight Health Solutions to welcome registrants for the 2024 Ontario First Responders’ Mental Health Conference. This will offer two days of learning, making connections and finding out what support is out there. Enrolment for this Mississauga gathering will be limited, and several guest speakers will address the group.
The conference is aimed at first responders, community leaders, mental health professionals and first responders’ family members. An evening reception has been planned, and the next day will be dedicated to presentations. The first day will feature a round table discussion that addresses the impact of mental health on families, and last year's instalment attracted 500 attendees.
