Another spring is approaching for Mississauga, and plans are underway for the Ontario Horticultural Society’s district 15 branch to host one of its most important annual events.
The organization is planning its 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM), and it will provide the 16 area society’s that make up its membership with a chance to meet and vote on its executive, review the minutes from last year’s meeting and listen to a review of the group’s finances and other reports.
As the AGM is an important event in the society’s fiscal year, it was decided it would be a full day event. There will be a flower show as well as door prize draws, presentation of awards and talks from horticultural experts. Delegates can mingle and reconnect with one another, and lunch will be provided.
Along with the other activities, there will be a silent auction, and each of the groups will be assigned its own display table. Those that stop by a banner printing company when preparing for an event like this will be able to have a colourful banner to display in their space, and if a pop-up style is chosen, they will be easy to store and can be used year after year.
This year’s Ontario Horticultural Society’s district 15 branch AGM will be held on April 27th. It will be organized at the Capitol Banquet Centre.
