Mac and cheese lovers may wish to make tracks to a Mississauga event that will pay homage to this humble comfort food.
Insaugua will be working with Black Diamond to bring the Mac and Cheese festival to the community. It will see chefs from around the region come together to elevate this well-known and basic dish to new heights by adding an assortment of ingredients one might not expect.
It is expected that more than 40,000 fans of the meal will come out to sample the more than 30 different takes on mac and cheese that will be on offer, and there will be plenty of other activities to participate in as well.
Along with the cheese and pasta, there will be entertainment, carnival-style games, a cheese tasting market, inflatables, and a movie night. The organizers of the event noted that this year, it will be traveling to different locations across the country.
