Mississauga set to laugh the night away

Two of Canada’s most famous comics will be entertaining the masses in Mississauga next month.

Comedians Howie Mandel and Gerry Dee are taking to the stage of the International Centre for one night only in an event which is being put on to raise funds for The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation.

As part of the event, the International Centre will be transformed to resemble a number of famous comedy clubs around the world, including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and The Imrpov. Poster printing may have been used by the event’s promoters to raise awareness of the event.

The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation has played a crucial role in the healthcare of over a million people in the area. The foundation was formed in 1980 in partnership with the community and is the second largest source of funding for the hospital after the provincial government. The hospital’s emergency department is among the province’s busiest, treating 87,000 patients every year. The funds raised from the event are to go towards the redevelopment of the department, allowing the hospital and its staff to continue supporting the area sufficiently.

The event is expected to start at 6pm and will also feature an auction to raise extra money. Flyer printing may have been used to list the lots on offer and encourage revellers to put their hands in their pockets. Those looking to attend are able to purchase tickets from the event’s website or by calling Kristin Scarfone at 905-813-110.
