Mississauga market to feature local talent

A Mississauga group of makers recently announced that it has a special pop-up market in store for the spring season, which will take place next month.

Maker Market Collective will give members of the public the opportunity to purchase an assortment of locally produced handmade goods during its Hop into Spring Community Market. Clarkson Road Presbyterian Church will be the location for the activity, and members of the public will have six hours to browse and buy.

Admission to the function will be free, and at least 25 vendors will be on hand for the day. The first 120 guests to arrive will receive a swag bag of Promotional Products, and the Easter Bunny will be on hand for photo opportunities. Everyone can try their luck in a scavenger hunt, and a raffle and even split draws are in the works too.

To help maximize the community impact of the event, the planners have requested that everyone bring along a donation of gently used clothing. These will be collected and donated to a local charity. The doors of the shopping party will open at 10:00 am, and the fun will keep on going until 4:00 pm.

The Hop into Spring Community Market will be celebrating Mississauga’s creative side on Saturday, March 23rd. It will kick off at 10:00 am at 1338 Clarkson Road.
