Mississauga competition set to bring some cookery fun

Even though the COVID-19 virus may have everybody staying indoors, there is still plenty going on. One way to make the most of the imposed isolation is to make an entry in a local contest that will give amateur chefs a chance to share their favourite recipe.

This friendly competition is the first of its kind to be launched by My Women Support, and in recognition of the winner’s talents, a donation will be made in their name to the Mississauga Food Bank. The organizers are hoping that this contest will the capture attention and imagination of the public, and that submissions will come thick and fast.

There’s no fee to submit and entry, but those who do are asked to keep their neighbours in need in mind and make a generous donation to the food bank. Each week will have its own theme, and along with a donation being made in their name to the area food pantry, the winner will receive a prize from a local business valued at $10.

Each recipe will be judged individually, and a panel of food experts has been assembled to do so. Themed Corporate Gifts such as aprons or chef’s hats printed with the contest’s Logo Design can be a fun way to recognize the cookery champs in this sort of competition, and they are also useful items to have in the kitchen.

The My Women Support Food with Thought recipe contest is open now, and it will run until July 1. More details about the event can be found online.
