VegFest returns to London

A London-area food festival celebrating the best of vegetables, particularly vegetarian and vegan cuisine, will return for its sixth year this November

Inspired by similar festivals in Niagara and Toronto, VegFest will feature a variety of dishes and products from local chefs, farmers and artisans. Vendors include names like Apiecalypse Now, Crazy D’s Prebiotic Soda Labs, Humble Seedz Inc, and The Boombox Bakeshop. In addition to food, there will also be stalls from local charitable organizations and groups such as animal shelters, plus vegan clothing, accessories and health products. While the festival owners are motivated by their vegan diets, anyone who is “veg-curious” is welcome to attend and broaden their culinary horizons.

VegFest will also feature a number of talks and seminars on vegan cooking and lifestyles, with titles like “Aquafaba – The Miracle Egg Replacer” and “What a Fish Knows.” There will be a zone aimed at children with plenty of activities. VegFest was founded in 2014 by Krista Kankula and has welcomed more than 30,000 attendees over the previous five years. Festivals like this can an opportunity for food-lovers to sample new dishes and learn new techniques. They are often volunteer-run efforts that are advertised by brochure printing, Promotional Products, and social media.

The 2019 edition of VegFest London will take place on November 9 at the Western Fair District Agriplex.
