Rock icon to visit London North area

Art rock music veteran Chris de Burgh is headed to London this April, looking to attract fans of his cult classic music from London North and surrounding areas.

The performance will feature songs from de Burgh’s latest album, The Tale of Robin Hood, inspired by the classic English folktale. The album was created as an accompaniment to an upcoming stage musical on the same subject, which is set to be produced in Germany next year. The Irish-British artist will also be performing hits from his 50-year international career such as ‘Spanish Train’, ‘The Lady in Red’, and ‘Into the Light’. Chris de Burgh is known for his blend of rock, pop and folklore to create memorable narrative songs that have been hits across the world.

The London show is part of an extensive Canadian tour that also includes stops at St. Catharines and Casino Rama, as well as dates from coast to coast. Concert tours such as this provide music lovers from areas such as London North with a chance to engage with artists who have had historic success, with poster printing and radio advertising among the tools used to market local shows. De Burgh will play accompanied by a full backing band.

Chris de Burgh and his band will perform at Budweiser Gardens in London on the evening of April 24.
