The Magic of Lights holiday display will be at a new location in the London North area this year, aiming to provide a bigger show than ever.
The display is a Southwestern Ontario tradition, and provides a 2.5 kilometre route full of festive scenes, illuminated by millions of electric lights. Visitors can travel through the route in their cars, or book a limo or party bus for the experience, and are invited to take photos from within their vehicle. There will be a local radio broadcast of holiday songs that visitors can tune into. This will be the fourth year the Magic of Lights event is staged in London, and its first at scenic Fanshawe conservation area at the northern end of the city, with support from LiUNA and Tourism London.
A portion of proceeds from the event will go towards the Children’s Health Foundation, which supports treatment programs, equipment, and research towards pediatric illnesses at the Children’s Hospital in London. Similar Magic of Lights events are staged across the United States and Canada throughout the month of December. Seasonal displays like this often use methods such as flyer printing and social media posts to help reach a wider audience.
The 2024 Magic of Lights display at Fanshawe Conservation Area in London North will be on display from November 22 to January 4.
