Toronto-based Greektown Wrestling will be coming to London this March, headlined by a battle inside a steel cage.
The event brings together international wrestling stars, as well as regulars from Ontario’s independent wrestling scene. The main event will see All Elite Wrestling star Sonny Kiss take on Greektown Wrestling champion Channing Decker inside a steel cage, a rarity on the independent wrestling circuit. Other confirmed talent includes the super-sized PUF and local independent wrestling veterans Jody Threat and Space Monkey.
The show is part of Greektown Wrestling’s March Break tour, which will also feature stops in Toronto and Hamilton boasting similar talent, following up on a similar tour close to the Christmas holidays.
The London show will look to bring in wrestling fans from areas such as London North and further afield, as well as a worldwide audience, as it will be streamed live online through Fite TV’s subscription service. Independent wrestling events such as this aim to provide fans with a more intimate experience than larger promotions, with fans able to meet and greet the wrestlers afterwards and purchase unique merchandise and Promotional Products. Greektown Wrestling showcases the influence of the titular Toronto neighbourhood through decorations around the ring and stage.
Greektown Wrestling’s London return will take place on March 17th at the Marconi Club.
