The London K-Pop Festival will be holding its 2024 edition this month, gathering fans and performers of Korean pop music for a one-day event.
Korean pop music, otherwise known as K-Pop, has attracted a large following around the world in recent years for its catchy melodies and larger-than-life musicians. The London K-Pop Festival is designed to celebrate this fandom, with dance parties and pop-up shops featuring specialized merchandise. There will also be local musicians from throughout Ontario performing tributes to Korean stars, as well as their own music. Attendees will be able to enter give-aways for albums and other prizes.
The main event will be followed by an afterparty with a DJ playing K-Pop hits. Past editions have included musical artists like KNGS, Bold, and Taking Flight. The festival is hosted by KWNS K-Pop, which also recently hosted a holiday event and a “spotlight” concert in recent months, aiming to draw in fans of international music and global pop from nearby areas such as London North and Toronto. Festival events such as this often use colourful poster printing and social media outreach to help attract fans of specialty music genres and other media.
The London K-Pop Festival is set to take place on the evening of March 22 at the London Music Hall. It will be an all ages available with a “wet/dry” drink policy.
