The upcoming London’s Got Talent event will see local performers in a variety of different genres get together to both compete against each other and raise money for a local non-profit organization.
In the style of popular reality television shows, London’s Got Talent will see acts in a variety of different performance styles, with a single winner crowned at the end of the night, who will take home a $1,000 cheque. Last year’s edition was won by local singer Kaylee Durdle. The event will also feature guest stars Divine Brown and JRDN. The acts will be selected from videotaped auditions from London North and other parts of the city and surrounding area.
Proceeds from London’s Got Talent will go towards the Single Women in Motherhood Training Program, which aims to create positive change in the community by providing emotional and education support to single mothers. The non-profit organization also partners with the Strong Women Achieving Remarkable Triumph (SMART) scholarship, which provides financial support to single mothers pursuing post-secondary education.
A scholarship recipient will also be announced at the end of the London’s Got Talent Show. Fundraising events such as this, typically advertised through means like poster printing and social media, can be crucial to local community efforts.
The 2022 edition of London’s Got Talent will take place at Wolf Performance Hall on the evening of November 18.
