Winnipeg workshop offered to new telescope owners

Getting a new telescope allows a person to view the universe from their own backyard, and an upcoming Winnipeg workshop will help them to get started with their new piece of equipment.

The sessions will offer newbie sky watchers tips and information that will make it easier for them to make the most of their new telescope. A variety of topics will be included in the discussion, and everyone is welcome, no matter what brand of telescope they use.

The participants will find out about how to properly set up their telescope, as well as ways to troubleshoot any problems that crop up. Proper observing techniques will be discussed, and there will be a review of how to use the finder scope as well. Each attendee will also receive a set of sky maps that will help them to make their first celestial discovery, and those who are interested will be able to participate online.

Students in this sort of session are often eager to learn, and Stationery printers will be able to offer a variety of materials to help facilitate this. They can prepare star maps, tip sheets and observation Journals to give to each learner, as well as an assortment of other printed materials.

This introduction to using a telescope will be held on February 4th, Registration for the class starts at $15.
