Winnipeg runners to get muddy for healthcare workers

Winnipeg will soon be getting down and dirty in an event that will bring the fun to the city this summer.

Mud Hero Manitoba, which is billed as being Canada's largest obstacle course-style race, will welcome experienced runners and newbies alike for a day filled with muddy fun. There will be an assortment of course options on offer, and while it will provide an opportunity for the racers to challenge themselves, the day is all about having fun.

As well as the mud obstacle run, the attendees will enjoy lots of pre- and post-race activities. Once they cross the finish line, there will be a Mud Bash, and here, they will be able to have a bite to eat and a beverage, and entertainment will keep the energy high. The function is suitable for anyone aged 12 and over, and as the event will not be timed, everyone will be run at their own pace.

To recognize their achievement, each person who takes on the challenge will receive a finisher’s T-shirt with a Mud Hero-themed graphic design, and they will also be able to download photos. Finisher’s medals and temporary tattoos will be presented as well.

The 2021 Winnipeg Mud Hero Manitoba will take place on July 10th at the Hill Top Resort in Beaconia. The monies raised will be donated to the Canadian Nurses Foundation.
