Savvy gardeners know that perennials can be the secret weapon when it comes to creating beautiful plantings, and this May, a Winnipeg activity will offer the inside scoop on these species.
Craig Gillespie, who is Assiniboine Park Conservancy's Outdoor Garden Supervisor, will be sharing his knowledge of perennials and how to use them in the home garden. He will provide both tips and advice, and tickets are $27.50 each, plus GST.
The workshop will cover the fundamentals of planting with perennials, including how to use them to create four seasons of interest. Since they come back year, usually with some basic care, they may be both budget friendly and easy to look after, and they may also attract wildlife. Craig will offer advice for overall garden design, and all experience levels may benefit from taking part.
