Winnipeg nature walk to boast Halloween theme

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society - Manitoba Chapter will be offering lots of thrills and chills for the city’s younger set soon at Birds Hill Provincial Park, and while they enjoy the experience, they will be learning about the natural world.

The Winnipeg location will be the site for a special Halloween event that will see kids dashing through the woods, collecting candy and other special treats as they go. They will be following the Chickadee Trail, and the whole family is welcome to attend.

The kids will be able to go shelling out at the overlook tower, and here, they will also find special activities set up in honour of the occasion. The route is easy to walk with a low grade of elevation, and the participants will be able to see how the oak, fir, aspen and other trees that call the park home are getting ready for the cold weather to come. There is no fee to attend, but a park pass is required for a vehicle to enter the site. Bug repellent is highly recommended.

Choosing decor for a Halloween-themed occasion can be made easier with assistance from a poster printing company. It will be able to provide custom-designed items in a full range of styles and sizes.

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society - Manitoba Chapter will be hosting its Halloween Spooktacular Hike at Birds Hill Provincial Park, Winnipeg on October 29th. The activity’s scheduled start time is 1:00 pm.
