Jerry Maslowsky had always placed great value on the role of mothers in the family, and had a dream of hosting a brunch in honour of mothers from throughout the community. This May, his vision will become a reality, and it is all in support of a charity that helps Winnipeg’s kids.
Mother's Day brunch will be on offer in Saddlery on Market, and it is expected to be a popular event. Two different seatings will be held, and tickets are $50 each for adults and $35 for children.
The buffet-style meal will include a huge selection of salads, breads, roasts and both lunch and breakfast fare. Desserts will also be on offer, as will coffee , tea, and juice. The moms in the crowd will be the guests of honor, and to show them how much they are appreciated, a comfort bag will be distributed to each one who attends the meal.
As this event is also a fundraiser, sponsorships from local businesses will be welcomed. There are several options available, including one that calls for a donation of Corporate Gifts to add to each of the comfort Bags. These can be branded with the donor’s name and Logo Design.
The proceeds of this celebration, which will be held on May 12, will be donated to the Variety’s Special Needs Program. In the past, this fundraiser has been a big hit with local families, and its organizers are hoping that this year will be another success.
