An event that will help Winnipeggers to beat the heat by getting wet will be held this June, and the whole community has been invited to stop by and join in the fun.
Fort Garry Community Centre’s Waterfest is set to make its return this June, and it promises to be a fun filled afternoon for the whole family.
This rain or shine event will include a large selection of games and other activities, and there will also be food, cold drinks, and a raffle draw. Wristbands can be purchased online or at the gate, and they are required for all guests who are age six and up.
The plans for the occasion include a foam pit, giant hamster balls, picnic games, bounce houses, waterball, face painting, and other fun. A craft station will be set up, and both candy and grocery scrambles are on the agenda. The canteen will have drinks, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and other snacks on offer, and there will be many other activities to enjoy.
The green thumbs in the crowd may want to make sure they don’t miss out on the plant swap and sale, and the new community garden will also be unveiled. A large banner that welcomes all the guests to an event like this can be prepared by a banner printing company.
The location for this afternoon of family friendly fun will be 880 Oakenwald Avenue. It will be held on June 22.
