Winnipeg event to visit baby bison

Winnipeg’s moms and dads will soon have the chance to celebrate Parent’s Day with a difference when they attend an event that will introduce them to one of the country’s largest native animal species.

The herd of plains bison that calls Fort Whyte home is welcoming some new arrivals, and the upcoming Parent’s Day Baby Bison Walk organized by FortWhyte Alive will give them a warm welcome.

These animals are one of the symbols of Manitoba, and those who reserve a spot in the walk will be able to observe the herd as it goes about its day, learning how these animals have been brought back from near extinction. Both adults and children alike are welcome to attend, and the session will take place outdoors. The walk will run for about one hour, and cameras and binoculars are highly recommended.

Local events like this may be marketed to the public in a variety of ways. A printer can provide in-house Graphic Design Services to create marketing materials like Posters and Flyers for an event like this one.

The Parent’s Day Baby Bison Walk is scheduled for June 1st. The tour will start at 10:30 am, with the meet point at the Alloway Reception Centre. The cost is $15 for the general public, $12 for FortWhyte Alive members and $10 for children aged 10 or under.
