Winnipeg class to make mushroom growing easy

Most people are familiar with the cultivated field mushrooms, but during a Winnipeg class, foodies will learn how flavorful wine cap mushrooms can be, and also how easy they can be to grow.

River City Mushroom’s Tom Nagy will be sharing his love of cultivating fungi with the attendees in the “Wine Cap Mushroom Growing” workshop. Guesyts will discover how they can easily be grown in a backyard, and as they are perennial, they will return for many years.

According to the event’s listing, the learners in the class will be taught the basics of mushroom cultivation on a small scale. The techniques shared will be practical and straightforward, and so that each person who participates in the workshop can put their skills into practice, they will each go home with some mushroom “spawn” starter they can use to grow their own variety of this nutritious vegetable, which can be served raw or cooked.

The registration fee for this event is $15, and payment is due upon arrival. Printed instruction sheets and recipe cards can be prepared by Stationery printers to hand out to the participants in a class like this.

This short course, which can help show how straightforward sustainable living can be, will be taking place on June 2. It will be offered at 250 Churchill Drive.
