Winnipeg Chamber luncheon to focus on preventing burnout

The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce offers its membership a variety of educational opportunities, and it will be the host for a lunch and learn session that will be held in mid-December.

The organization will be addressing the topic of burnout during its December luncheon, and it will be taking place at the Fairmont Winnipeg. The program will run for two hours, and while all who are interested are encouraged to attend, a special discount will be available to Chamber members only.

The function will open half an hour ahead of the meal’s start time, and the attendees can view the exhibitor booths, network and exchange Business Cards. The program will then begin, and lunch will be served. The keynote speaker for the activity will be Jhanelle Peters, who is a Mental Health Clinician with the Toronto Raptors. She will explore the connection between stress and burnout, and offer strategies for dealing with this in the workplace and in people’s personal lives.

A chamber of commerce often serves as a collective voice for businesses, professionals and not-for-profit organizations in a community. Promotional Pens and other small items printed with a organization’s logo can be crafted by a printer to distribute as swag during such an event.

The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its Navigating Burnout: December Luncheon on December 14th. The opening mixer will begin at 11:30 am.
