Winnipeg’s witches and wizards who would like to do some bargain hunting will soon be able to do so at an event that will celebrate the city’s spooky side.
The first ever Manitoba’s Witches and Wizards Trade Show will be all about having lots of fun while supporting the city’s small retailers, and the whole event will have a Halloween theme. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive swag Bags containing an assortment of Promotional Products, and door prize and even split draws will be held as well.
During the market, the public will be able to browse through booths set up by area merchants, and a silent auction is on the agenda as well. The kids in the crowd can spend time at the selfie station, and admission to the function is $2, with kids aged 12 and under being admitted for free.
One of the activities in the works for the weekend is a scarecrow contest. The monies raised from the two-day celebration will help to make the upcoming holiday season brighter for local families in need.
This Halloween-themed weekend, which will raise funds for the Christmas Cheer Board, will begin on October 2nd. It will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on both days, and it will take place at Red River Ex Place.
