Winnipeg to host seafood-filled fundraiser

A tasty treat fresh from the sea will serve as the centrepiece for a Winnipeg event that will please both landlubbers and seafood enthusiasts alike.

The Rotary Club of Winnipeg-Charleswood undertakes a variety of community service projects, and to help meet the expense of doing so, it will once again be hosting its annual Lobsterfest celebration. In response to the pandemic, it will be offered in a curbside pick-up format, and the diners will be able to enjoy their meal wherever they wish.

Each of the dinners that will be sold during the fundraiser will include either chicken or lobster, and the ticketholders will be able to select the dish of their choice. These will both be served with a baked potato and a roll, and the dishes can be reheated at home. Tickets are on offer for $50 each, and they will not be sold at the door.

Along with the food, the ticketholders for the fundraiser will have their names entered in a door prize draw. Small Corporate Gifts will also be distributed to thank the public for supporting the activity.

This opportunity to enjoy a seafood dinner while supporting an assortment of community service efforts has been organized for September 24th. The pre-ordered Lobsterfest meals can be picked up between 3:00pm and 7:00pm at Varsity View Community Centre.
