Winnipeg golf tournament to fundraise for head injuries

A Winnipeg golf outing is in the works that will spread the message that mental health matters, and it will also be fundraising to help prevent concussions and other sport-related head injuries.

The Slap Shot Golf Tournament will be celebrating its 45th year, and the charities of choice for the occasion will be the Stop Concussions Foundation, as well as Shoot for a Cure and Connected - A Mental Health Initiative. It will boast a roster of celebrity players, and it will be one of its stops on a tour that is traveling across North America.

Those who register for the activity will be able to play with some local hockey legends, and single, foursome and VIP foursome tickets are all on offer now. It will be the last time this particular line-up will be in the city, and the organizers expect it will be a sell-out. Along with the golf, every ticket holder will be invited to attend a meet and greet with the special guests ahead of the tournament.

When planning a fundraiser like this, event organizers often choose to distribute customized Promotional Products to the attendees.

Hockey News will be presenting its Slap Shot Golf Tournament in Winnipeg on Tuesday, August 16th. It is set to be held at the St. Boniface Golf Course.
