Winnipeg fundraiser to be royal affair

A royal affair is on the way for Winnipeg, and this festive fundraiser has been planned to delight both children and the young at heart.

For one magical evening only, an event space at the Victorian Inn Hotel and Convention Centre will be transformed into a royal court, with parents and kids as the guests of honour. The proceeds will benefit children throughout the province who receive medical care at its children’s hospital, and the ticket price starts at $90.

Those who are on the guest list for the occasion are asked to wear formal attire, and they will be able to meet and spend time with the princes and princesses who will be in attendance. A meal will be served, and live performances, a crafting station, silent and live auctions and many other activities are all on the agenda. There will be plenty of photo opportunities, and the entertainment for the afternoon will be supplied courtesy of Happily Ever After Parties.

One of the challenges often faced by the hosts of a large function like this is finding a way to keep the younger guests entertained throughout the activity.
