A chamber of commerce offers a range of supports, and an upcoming workshop will introduce those in Winnipeg to the benefits of being part of such a group.
The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce, which is based in Winnipeg, has made plans to provide its new members with an opportunity to learn more about what it can offer them. It will also serve as a refresher for those who would like to brush up on the perks available.
The session, which will take place over the lunch hour, will explain what a chamber of commerce is, how it works and what sorts of benefits it can provide. A discussion of the importance of networking and advocacy will be explained, and Assiniboia’s savings program will be explored as well. Marketing, event planning and training opportunities for its membership are set to round out the activity. Both current and potential members are welcome.
Many advocacy organizations choose to provide those who are new to the group with packets of information. These may contain promotional Pens and other items.
The Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce has made plans to offer its Chamber Member 101 session on January 19th. It will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm and will utilize the Zoom online meeting platform. Attendees do not have to pay a participation fee.
