New beer festival headed to North Van

A new beer and music festival will be coming to three separate locations across the Metro Vancouver area, culminating in North Vancouver.

The Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival is an event that will feature 60 local craft beers at each stop. Confirmed participants include Old Yale Brewing Co., Strange Fellows Brewing and Faculty Brewing Co. There will also be 10 food trucks and eight local musicians at each event. Ticket purchasers will receive their own tasting glass and three tokens for free tasting samples from participating breweries.

In addition to beer, seltzer, cider, kombucha, wine and other spirits will be on offer. The festival is the production of Red Door Events, a group that is also known for producing the Fort Langley Beer & Music Festivals. The promoters say the events:

“Will have a strong emphasis on community, diversity, sustainability and inclusivity through their live entertainment and vendor line ups and green team initiatives.”

The event will be spread out throughout the summer with stops at Fort Langley and Port Moody before reaching North Vancouver. Events like this, often using tools like poster printing and social media to raise awareness in the area, provide an opportunity for smaller breweries and local artists to be exposed to a larger audience.

The Brewhalla Beer and Music Festival will come to Fort Langley Park on May 21, Port Moody’s Pioneer Park on August 5 and 6 and North Vancouver’s The Shipyards on September 30.
