The 3rd annual Japan Fair is taking place next month in North Vancouver, presented by MYK enterprises and the students of Yohokama Hayato High School.
Approximately 120 students from Yokohama will be traveling to British Columbia to showcase their culture to North Vancouver students and the public.
The fair is set to feature a variety of traditional cultural performances such as dance and music performed by the Yokohama students themselves. There will also be plenty of activities taking place including demonstrations of Japanese calligraphy and origami that guests can try for themselves. Guests will also learn about the traditional tea ceremony and have the opportunity to wear a kimono, and find out its history.
There will also be martial arts demonstrations and anime displays.
Guests can enter a draw; there will be 10 Japanese snack packs available to win and a $100 Visa gift card will be the grand prize.
