The Slush Cup 2018 is taking place next month in North Vancouver. A fun annual event, it celebrates or bemoans the fact that spring is here and the snow is melting.
Participants, who must be at least 12 years old, ride across a pool of slush either on skis on or their snowboards. Costumes are encouraged to be worn (the crazier the better) and prizes will be awarded in various categories. These include best costume, best trick and crowd favorite. They can cross the pool as many times as they want.
The celebration features a barbecue and a beer garden. There will also be an after-party with musical entertainment before the day comes to an end with the awards presentations.
Admission to the celebration is $10 per person in advance and $15 at the door, however, a lift ticket is also necessary. Lift tickets are $63 for adults and $45 for seniors and students between the ages of 13 and 18. All tickets come with a $5 food voucher.
Many North Vancouver residents will probably want to make their way to this fun event. Organizers may invest in poster printing services to advertise in the community.
The Slush Cup 2018 is taking place at Peak Flats on Grouse Mountain on April 7. Call 604-980-9311 for more details.
