Warm and cozy workshop on offer for Langley

As autumn approaches, it brings along with it dropping temperatures. A cozy blanket can be appreciated at this time of year, and those who participate in a Langley workshop will each be making one of their own.

Tanya Lynn, who is a local artist, will teach the steps to follow to make a warm blanket using chunky style yarn. Hand knitting techniques will be used to complete the project, and the finished piece will be approximately 40 inches by 60 inches in size.

The registration fee for the workshop includes the supplies needed to finish an afghan, and the colours used will be grey and cream. The completed project will use 140 yards of chunky style yarn, and those who purchase a ticket are welcome to bring along some drinks and snacks to enjoy and share.

The organizer of the activity remarked that no previous experience is needed to participate in the session, which will run for about four hours. Flyers can often prove to be cost effective promotional tools for an event like this, and these can be ordered from a local flyer printing company.

The Painted Loft, which can be found at 19955 Fraser Highway in Langley, will be offering this hand knitting class on October 6th. The registration fee for the session is $90.
