Walkathon to support the MS Society to be held in Langley

The Scotiabank MS Walk, which helps to raise funds for the MS Society of Canada, will take place this April. Similar walks are planned for various communities throughout British Columbia and other provinces from April to June of this year.

The length of the walk is 3 kilometers and those who feel up to it will have time to walk around twice. Participants collect pledges from friends, family members, and neighbors. There are rewards such as T-Shirts, hooded sweatshirts, or tote Bags for those who collect at least $125. Walkers can take part individually or as part of a team. Those with mobility problems and those in wheelchairs are also welcome to participate.

After the walk, there will be snacks, refreshments, musical entertainment, and family-friendly activities to participate in.

It is likely that Langley printing companies will be helping the organizers prepare for the event. There will be pledge Forms, T-shirts, and information sheets for participants to Print. Organizers will also no doubt be investing in services such as flyer or poster printing to inform the public of the upcoming event.

The MS Society of Canada raises funds for both research into the disease and support services for those suffering from the illness and their families. It is estimated that up to 75,000 Canadians are currently living with Multiple Sclerosis.

The Scotiabank MS Walk will take place at Douglas Park on April 14. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the walk starts at 10:00 am.
