An upcoming workshop in Langley will offer residents the chance to work with their hands and hone their woodworking skills.
Anyone who has previous experience of woodworking who takes part in the “Advanced Wood: Rough to Smooth” workshop will walk away with a better understanding of how to mill down rough lumber so that it is smooth and ready to be used in a variety of projects.
The organizers of this activity have explained that it is intended for those who already have experience with the basics of woodwork, and those who register will need to have completed the “Intro to Woodworking Class” offered at Langley’s Maker Cube. Everyone is asked to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time, and there will be information provided about the benefits of becoming a member of the workshop.
It has been noted that the participants in the workshop will need to wear safety glasses, closed toe shoes and have their hair tied back. Short sleeves are mandatory, and safety masks are also needed.
