Brie is a soft cheese that many consider especially suited to snacking, but a Langley workshop will show how it can be used in another way.
The Master a Brie Cake Class, which will be held at Roots and Wings Distillery, will take brie baking to the next level. The instructor will walk the attendees through the steps of preparing one of these savoury dishes, and tickets are $65.00.
Everyone who registers for the session will receive a brie cake kit and other supplies, and the facilitator will then take them, step by step, through the process of building their own brie cake. The meats, dried and fresh fruit, as well as the cheese itself, will be provided, and while they work at their culinary projects, the attendees will be able to sip on a custom cocktail poured for them.
A culinary class gives the public a chance to pick up some new skills and techniques in a supportive and fun environment. Recipe cards, chef’s hats, aprons and other customized products for a session like this can all be crafted by area printing services.
The team at Root and Wings Distillery will be exploring this new way to serve brie with this workshop on July 15th. It will begin at 10:00 am, and the doors will open at 9:30 am so everyone can choose their drink and get seated.
