Langley virtual workshop to sharpen woodturning skills

Crafters who work with wood usually want to keep their tools well-sharpened and in top shape, and a Langley event will show them how they can do this for themselves.

Whether they watch from work or home, the Sharpening Turning Tools workshop will have lots to offer its registrants. It will be an interactive online event, and a link to the activity will be released a week before its scheduled date.

During the demo, the group will be able to observe both grinder belts and wheels to learn how they operate. They will be shown a variety of grinding jigs and other tools, and a review of their pros and cons is on the agenda. Tips for determining when sharpening is required will be shared, and the differences between honing tools and tools straight from the grinder will also be discussed. The participants will be able to ask questions and have their specific concerns addressed, and this is just the start of what the function will have to offer.

Although a function like this may take place virtually, its attendees may still appreciate receiving some hard copy learning items. These can be prepped by Stationery printers, which will be able to offer a variety of binding options for the materials.

The online Sharpening Woodturning Tools workshop will welcome learners on May 4th. It will begin at 3:00pm.
