Residents of Langley will soon have the chance to fall in love with a magical theatrical production by the talented members of Bard in the Valley as the group presents ‘Almost, Main’.
Written by John Cariani and directed by Madison McArthur, the play is a mythical romantic comedy with a touch of good-natured magic realism. Set under the mystical aura of the aurora borealis, it follows nine couples as they experience the joys and follies of love. During the performance, strangers become friends, friends become lovers and lovers turn in to strangers. Almost, Main is an original production that broke box office records when it premiered at the Portland Stage Company in 2004.
Bard in the Valley is a registered charity organization whose goal is to offer affordable and accessible quality productions of Shakespeare’s plays to a wider audience in Langley and Abbotsford. It has the motto “One Goal, One Passion, Shakespeare For All”. This performance is a fundraiser in support of the ‘Shakespeare in the Valley’ summer season.
