Langley residents will get the chance to discover some new artists this spring and summer with two special fresh air arts events.
The Arts, Culture and Heritage Open House is taking place later this month. It is a presentation of the City of Langley's Recreation, Culture and Public Art Advisory Committee and will showcase a variety of non-profit organizations who are dedicated to art, culture and area history. It will also feature arts and crafts vendors and live entertainment throughout the afternoon.
In June, Art in the Vines, presented by Township7, will showcase more than 50 of the area’s artisans, who will be selling their work. It will also present local musical performers, allow guests to enjoy some wine samples, and will hold a barbeque to raise money for a local charity.
Organizers of both of these events are likely to be working with Langley printing companies to prepare. This might involve designing and printing Flyers or Booklets to help publicize each event, or Banners to help decorate the venue and bring more attention to specific areas.
The Arts, Culture and Heritage Open House will take place at Douglas Park on May 25 from 1:00 - 4:00pm. Admission is free. For more information, contact the committee at 604-514-2865.
Art in the Vines will be held at the South Langley Winery on June 23 from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Admission is free by donation. Those who are looking for more information should call 604-532-1766.
