Early fall is harvest time in Langley, and an event has been planned that will celebrate this bountiful time of year.
Over 50 of the province’s producers of food and beverages will be taking part in Experience the Harvest, which is a celebration of the connection between the rural and urban sides of the community. Those who attend will be able to browse through all the stations that will be set up in tents in a farmer’s field, sampling any dishes, wines, craft beers and ciders, and other offerings that catch their eye. As they do, they are invited to ponder how a space that’s just like the one they are walking through was the source for some of the food they are enjoying.
Along with the cuisine, there will be much more to experience. Live performers will be on hand to keep the guests entertained, and everyone can relax and mingle with friends old and new. A local printer will be able to use wide format printing techniques to craft Banners, signage and other items that can be used during an event like this.
This event, which will celebrate both the harvest and the connection between local people and the agricultural producers who make sure they have food on their plates, has been planned for September 10th. More information can be found on the Hello BC website.
