The Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS) has put out a call to the community seeking support and participants for its annual Furry Tails race.
This year, to ensure the safety of everyone involved, the activity has been converted to a virtual format, and anyone who would like to support the cause can do so. Its supporters can choose to walk, run, row or roll along using their walker or wheelchair, and if they wish, they can even jump on their stationary bike or treadmill and meet their goal indoors.
To take part, members of the public are asked to register online, and they can then choose a date, or dates, to complete their activity. Full and half marathons, as well as 5k and 10k options, are available, and the registrants are asked to log their results through the fundraiser's website.
To thank the supporters for taking a stand in support of Langley’s animals in need, each person who completes their distance goal will receive a certificate and a medal that will include a custom Logo Design. These will be distributed at the end of the event.
The LAPS 2021 Furry Tails Virtual Race will be running throughout the month of April. The LAPS website includes all the information required to get involved in the fundraising fun.
