Cheesemaking has been around for thousands of years, and Langley learners will soon be able to try their hand at this skill and prepare cheese in their own home.
The “Make Cheese with Paula - Holiday Appetizers” event will share secrets of preparing this savoury dish, and since it will be livestreamed from its venue in Langley, people will be able to watch the two-hour class from the comfort of their own kitchen.
Paula Maddison will walk the students through the process of making cheese, which has been noted to be surprisingly easy. After this, she will offer tips for transforming the cheeses into an assortment of tasty appetizers, and the group will be working with fromage blanc. The planners have suggested that the cheeses created can be a fun idea for a holiday gift.
Although a class like this may be offered online, the participants may still benefit from having printed Copies of the recipes used. Stationery printers can supply these printed recipes, and these can be sent out to each person who registers.
The Make Cheese with Paula - Holiday Appetizers class is set to be held on December 5th. The registration fee is $100, and it is being offered by Fraser Valley Continuing Education. Its website includes more details, as well as a registration link.
