Following its approval at a public meeting last month, the Langley Farm Market will soon be hoping to draw even larger crowds. It will be moving into grand new and larger facilities, despite initially considering the expansion of the existing venue. The new 13,900 square foot building in Langley will also include a 600 square foot caretaker’s suite and will replace all of the existing structures. The current building is slated to be demolished, but the building will use the existing parking lot.
Construction of the new project will begin early than originally planned. The Township will review both the development and the building permit of the new building before proceeding. Zoning laws may restrict produce sold at local rural markets.
Vendors at the current Farmers’ Market will still have the opportunity to sell their produce, groceries, and sundry products under the existing canopies until the new site is constructed at 22728 Fraser Highway in the upcoming months.
The new Farmer’s Market in Langley will no doubt be a huge tourist attraction, providing a great deal of advertising opportunities in the upcoming months for local Print companies.
