Certain hardworking insects will take pride of place in an upcoming Langley event, and everyone is invited to join the fun.
The community will be giving bees a tip of the hat, and it will give a sneak peek into the lives of these VIIs (very important insects). Both native species, such as bumble and digger bees, and also honey bees, will be in the spotlight, and there will be a variety of activities on offer.
The festival will be an interactive event, and there will be lots of opportunities to get creative. Attendees can try their hand at making beeswax candles as well as seed bombs and decorating butterflies, and when it's time for a bite to eat, everyone can stop by the Bee Cafe. Plants, honey and beeswax will be for sale, and there will be other bee-friendly vendors as well. Pollinator plants will be available for purchase, and details about beekeeping will be shared.
A nature-based festival or other activity may be both fun and educational for those who take part. Custom-designed Banners created using environmentally friendly materials can be crafted by a banner printing shop.
