Langley course to help build safer workplaces

Langley businesses that employ more than 20 staff members are invited to attend an upcoming continuing education opportunity. It will give internal auditors knowledge and skills needed to be part of an effective corporate safety program.

SafetyDriven will be offering an Internal Auditor Course that will be helpful to those who work in a setting where there are a large number of employees. They will find new ways to evaluate a safety program, and at the end of the training, they will be familiar with the Audit Document and will have a working knowledge of how to perform a COP maintenance audit.

Students will learn the ins and outs of an audit program as well as how and why they should be conducted. The responsibilities of both auditors and auditees will be discussed, and the importance of certification will be included. Ethics will be part of the conversation, and the registration free for the two-day workshop is $99.

Offering this sort of training can help to create workplaces where safety is part of the overall corporate culture. Handouts and other materials for learners can be prepared ahead of time by area Stationery printers.

SafetyDriven, which can be found at 210- 20111 93A Avenue in Langley, will be offering this learning opportunity on September 16th and 17th. Seats can now be booked for the class.
