Langley course to ensure food safety

Knowing how to safely handle food is an important step in operating a restaurant, and a course that is on offer in Langley will be focused on the importance of food safety techniques.

The Level 1 Food Safe Course, which will take eight hours to complete, will cover a variety of topics related to food safety. It will safeguard both eatery staff and customers, and each person who completes the training and exam will receive their Food Safe Certificate, which will be valid for five years.

During the session, attendees will be taught about the proper techniques for preparing and serving food, the importance of sanitation and receiving and storage of perishables. At the end of the session, there will be a written, multiple choice test. Those who achieve a score of at least 70% will receive their certificate.

Offering a course like this can be an important step in creating a safe and healthy community. Print shops can supply everything from manuals to application Forms, and their graphic design staff can craft custom certificates and other documents.

The Food Safe Level 1 will be on offer on November 26th. The cost to register is $75 and it will begin at 8:30am. The venue for the course will be 20540 Duncan Way in Langley. Registrants have been asked to arrive 10 minutes early so they can fill out the required forms.
