The Knights, who were previously the North Delta Devils, will be the second junior team in Langley after the Langley Rivermen of the junior A British Columbia Hockey League.
John Craighead, a former professional player and owner and general manager of the Knights, was responsible for the move, along with a supportive municipal government. Craighead says his goal:
“[…] is to develop local hockey players and be a bridge between minor hockey and junior A.”
The Knights will use special promotions to attract people to their games, such as free admission for players in the Langley Minor Hockey Association and Langley Knights program giveaways. The team may also use the services of a Print company for the purposes of banner, flyer, or poster printing, in order to promote games to the general public, as well as provide information to fans at the games themselves.
The Knights will play their home games in the George Preston Recreation Centre on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The home opener is scheduled for September 11th against the Mission City Outlaws. The puck drops at 7:30pm.Get a Free Quote for Print
