Fundraising carnival to hit the ice in Langley

Langley is set to host a charity carnival with a difference. The SOS Carnival on Ice is a fundraising event organized to raise money for the SOS Children’s Village.

The family event provides a full hour and a half of free skating time, plus other activities to keep all age groups entertained. The carnival is put together by the partnership of Recreational Excellence and SOS BC Carnival on Ice. Poster printing may have been used to share information about this fun and exciting fundraiser with members of the community.

During this fun-filled recreational event, families will be able to help out the Children’s Village by joining in and bringing bottles and cans with them to assist with the fundraising bottle drive.

There is skating throughout the event and children can skate for just $2.60, which includes all skating fees. When the children are tired of skating, the sponsors have all kinds of carnival games available for the children to play for only $1 each. This is a great way for families to share some quality time together and to get out and enjoy a few laughs together while enjoying some exercise and winter fun. Parking is available for free and visitors of all ages are welcome.

The SOS Carnival on Ice is being held on Saturday, January 26 from 3:00pm to 4:30pm at the George Preston Recreation Centre, located at 20699 42nd Avenue in Langley, British Columbia. For more information, visit the George Preston Recreation Centre website or call 604-530-1323.
