For the past 100 years, a Langley area site has celebrated May Day, and 2022 will see this popular event make its return.
Fort Langley has put together a schedule of activities to celebrate the event’s 100th year, and its planners have explained that, in honour of the centenary, it will be bigger than ever. The day will kick off with a pancake breakfast hosted at Lions Hall, and this will be followed by the set up for the various groups that will be taking part in the annual parade.
The activity will offer lots of opportunities for fun, and the list of events includes maypole dancing and the crowning of the Queen and her royal court, as well as mini golf and kiddie rides. In addition, there will be food and craft vendors and a beer garden present. Many of the offerings will have a historical theme, and everyone is welcome to attend the festivities.
