Fort Langley to celebrate the winter season

There are two exciting events set to take place at Fort Langley in the coming months. One is set to mark the start of the holiday season, while the other will be a celebration of French Canadian culture.

Heritage Holiday at the Fort is running through the Christmas and New Year period. It will feature many family friendly activities such as the crafts-making and children's games. It has been put together to provide younger people with a chance to experience how the holiday was celebrated in the past.

Early next year, the Vive les Voyageurs French Canadian Winter Festival is taking place over two days. Guests will be able to sample French Canadian food, learn finger weaving, sing a Voyageur song, and possibly witness a traditional dance performance. The festival is a celebration of one of the founding societies of Canada.

Both of these events will likely attract many Langley families during the Christmas holidays. Flyers obtained from local printing companies might be used to help the organizers spread the word throughout the community; they can be distributed in a variety of ways that reach lots of people very quickly.

Heritage Holiday at the Fort is taking place from December 21 to January 5. Vive les Voyageurs will be held from January 25-26 from 10:00am-5:00pm. Both events are free with admission to the fort. Tickets are $7.80 for adults, $6.55 for seniors, $3.90 for youth and $19.60 for a family of four. For more information about either event, call 604-513-4777.
