An ex weightlifter from the Langley area has made a large donation to a local charity that helps families in need.
Dana Matheson used to be able to lift hundreds of pounds, until he hurt his back and had to retire. He formed a C&D Logistics, and his company currently ships products all over the world.
According to Matheson, he enjoys helping others and this is what prompted him to decide to help out Kimz Angels, which is a local not-for-profit group that helps underprivileged families meet their daily living needs.
He decided to help by providing the group with a new Ford F-150 pickup truck that it can use to deliver goods such as furniture, food, and baby items to people in need.
The new truck was unveiled during the Fraser Valley Fun Day celebration. The Wrap Guys donated a custom designed wrap for the truck to be used during its official presentation to Kimz Angels. Donations for the local food bank were also accepted.
According to Matheson, he is planning on getting even more involved with the organization and helping it further.
