The residents of Langley are gearing up to enjoy a day of fruit-based fun when the Cranberry Festival takes place in the area later this month.
This event will celebrate the cranberry harvest and there will be plenty of related activities to enjoy. The day is set to start with a pancake breakfast, which will be followed by live musical performances, a fashion show, and cooking demonstrations.
Some of the musical artists taking part include the Scott Mackenzie Band, the Horvat Family and, Earl Taylor. Contests are also expected to be held throughout the day. There is sure to be something that will appeal to every member of the family.
There will also be a barrel-making demonstration and a cranberry toss. Fresh cranberries and bannock will be available for purchase. In addition, more than 100 vendors will be on hand to sell a variety of items, cranberry-related and otherwise. This is likely to include jewelry, clothing, artworks, foods and hand-made crafts.
No doubt the organizers of the event will be advertising it widely in the Langley area. This will include investing in products such as Flyers from local printing companies.
The Cranberry Festival is being held at the Fort Langley National Historic Site on October 12 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Admission to the Fort will be half price on the day of the festival.
